2 States is based on the best selling Novel “2 States” by Chetan Bhagat, It’s a love story between a North Indian Punjabi Guy called Krish Malhotra and a South Indian Tamil Girl Ananya Swaminathan. 2 States was based on Chetan Bhagat’s true love story and his affair with his wife Anusha Suryanarayan when they were studying at IIM-A in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
2 States is directed by Abhishek Varman and co-stars Ronit Roy and Amrita Singh as Arjun Kapoor’s parents, Revathi and Shiv Subramaniyam as Alia’s South Indian parents.
